Help us create a better future for Animals and Children by breaking the cycle of abuse.

Help us create a better future for children & animals

Our Mission

At Peanuts Wellbeing Sanctuary our direction is to “Break the Cycle of Abuse” for Animals and Children. This is achieved by joining our rescued animals with children from dysfunctional, neglected and abusive backgrounds to nurture and aid in the understanding of empathy and compassion toward others.

By helping the children at their level, it stems their behaviour as they grow into adults to prevent them from venting their anger and frustrations on helpless animals and their peers. This helps them understand that violence is not the answer and in turn leads them away from bullying, domestic violence and a life of crime.

Our initiative leads to a better life for all animals, children, adults and for the communities in which we all live.

A Little About Peanuts

Peanuts started because of the need to rescue animals and stop the abuse. We soon found that ever property has a limit per acer to the number of animals we could take in. Peanuts has dominantly large animals so this fills up fast. Peanuts has around 60 Ambassadors, from a number of different backgrounds and stories. Peanuts has also established a collaboration with 5 other properties/humans that has enabled Peanuts to expand the rescued animals to an estimated 240 more.  Even with the expansion, and kindness of other, we are still limited to how many animals we can rescue and sadly we have to say we can’t take in some animals when we don’t have the room (which is a lot more often than we want☹) Therefore, the perfect solution was to prevent the animals from been abused and need rescuing in the first place.

How do you do that? Well, we work with the children. It is an old cliché, but a true cliché, “Children are the future” and if we can teach empathy and compassion to those that are starting to abuse the animals, then it breaks the cycle. Abuse is learnt behaviour. If this is the only role model they have growing up, they do not know any better. Let’s be compassionate role models and teach them a different way in life.  It can only be a win for all concerned.

Adopt DON’T Shop

A lot of people still shop for cats and dogs and buy from breeders rather then look at adoption.  When people buy animals from breeders instead of adopting from animal shelters, they deny a needy animal a chance at a good home and full the pockets with money of people...

Frances Loves to Foster

Wellbeing Wednesdays

Here is a chance to help you get over hump day by giving up that mid-week treat and making a small contribution that will go towards our new project, ‘Peanuts Orphans’.

By participating in Wellbeing Wednesdays you are supporting us with our new project. You can choose to donate a small amount every week from as little as $5.  Knowing that your small sacrifice each week is going to support the fostering and re-homing of orphaned animals – even a small contribution will help launch this amazing project off the ground!

Support Our Shop

The perfect gift for yourself or an animal-loving friend. All proceeds go to support our animal residents and their care.

Keen to sponsor a new friend? How about a whole paddock?

Sponsorship is great – so how about a whole paddock! We have re-homed many animals into loving families but due to age, illness or abuse, they have needed a lot of time to rebuild their trust in humans again. As a result, many need to stay at Peanuts. You can help with the ongoing maintenance and support of these animals at the sanctuary by sponsoring one of our paddocks – so instead of just sponsoring one individual animal you get the opportunity to sponsor a group of animals!

The beautiful people behind Vegan Leather Co helped us get off the ground with producing our original tee’s and onesies. We are so proud that a company with vegan values that produces such high-quality and ethically made items actually produce our original Peanuts clothing. You can support us by supporting them (our favourites are the cactus leather wallets)!
